Inclement Weather Class Cancellation/Delay Policy

If classes need to be canceled or delayed for a period of time, announcements will be made on area television and radio stations and posted here on this page.

If an announcement is made which states “classes are delayed until 10 a.m.,” all class hours prior to 10 a.m. have been canceled, but classes will begin at 10 a.m. Thus, if you have a class which meets from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and classes are delayed until 10 a.m., your class would still meet from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.  The only exception is for classes which would only meet for ½ hour after the cancellation period.   Thus, if you have a class which meets from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and classes are delayed until 10 a.m., your class will not meet.  In the event that the Zane State College Willett-Pratt Training Center closing is different than Zanesville, it will be noted in the announcements on the Cambridge radio station.

Inclement Weather Policy

In general, inclement weather, such as snow, sleet, ice, or rain, will not warrant the cancellation of classes or the closing of the College. Under such conditions, each employee and student should make a personal judgment pertaining to his or her safety in traveling to and from the College based on his/her routing and safety equipment.

However, if for some reason the College does cancel classes, the official closing of the College will be communicated by the President of the College or in his absence by the acting President to:
